We're proud to announce that G-Collective Studios is moving into a bigger and better facility!

During this transition, we are not accepting any new online Printing or Framing orders at this time.

However, we are still accepting online orders for PRINT SUPPLIES!

Premium Canvas Stretching & Gesso Services

For artists or photographers who are looking for the highest quality giclée or canvas stretching services and stretcher bar hardware available, G-Collective has the solution for you, with our Premium Canvas Stretching and Gesso services.

While the quality of our normal stretcher bars, which we offer online as part of our Gallery Wrapping services, is high enough to suffice the majority of our client base, we know that some of you are looking to use premium materials in order to complete your finest works of art.

Our clients drove us to seek out the highest quality stretcher bars on the market, for which we turned to John Annesley Co.  Handcrafted in Central CA, John Annesley Co. manufactures three types of stretcher bars, in any custom size.  The most precise tension adjustment is available from his Museum Bars® or expansion bolt stretcher bars.  These stretcher bars have a mechanical joint at each corner and every brace intersection.  Their Heavy-Duty and Normal-Duty stretchers use traditional wooden "keys" or wedges to expand the joints.  All John Annesley Co. stretcher bars are available in a variety of depths and beading options and must be special ordered to size.  (Please allow an additional 6-8 weeks for all John Annesley Co. stretcher bars, as they are custom-made to order.)

In addition to our Premium Stretcher Bar selection, we also offer Gesso Services. Any weathered artist or painter knows that the ONLY way to ensure that your gessoed canvas will remain tight as a drum, and not end up sagging over time due to the additional weight of the gesso on the canvas, is to stretch the canvas AFTER applying the gesso.  You are bound to run into trouble in the long run, so don't dissapoint your buyers with a saggy canvas by applying gesso to a store bought, pre-stretched canvas!  Let G-Collective custom prime and stretch your canvases for you!  On your selection of stretcher bars and hardware, we'll make sure your canvases are professionaly stretched, primed and ready for your next masterpiece.

In addition to using gesso to prime canvas, we have also succesfully mounted some of our largest giclée prints to even larger canvases, and then stretched those onto stretchers.  This has turned out to be a wonderful solution for some of our multimedia clients who are looking to set their print work apart from the crowd.

Using our ProMod 5 pneumatic canvas stretcher, we are able to maintain exact control over all our canvas stretching (up to 60"x60") to attain the most perfect and reliably accurate canvas stretch available.  If you need to stretch a canvas larger than 60"x60", give us a call, we may be able to help.

When the quality of your working materials needs to match the value of your artwork, our Premium Canvas Stretching and Gesso Services are for you!  Call today to inquire about our services by calling us at 310.876.3933.
