19 MIL, 450GSM MATTE POLY-COTTON INKJET CANVAS. OBA FREE, ARCHIVAL CERT. 100+ YRS.

Why Print on Canvas?
While Photo or Fine-Art Papers have traditionally been reserved for photograpic printmaking, the more recent introduction of Canvas Printing heralds many advantages over conventional paper media.
Unlike fine-art or photo papers, Canvas is extremely durable and archival certified up to 100+ years. Our canvas is a 19 mil bright white, consistent poly-cotton blend matte canvas using an acid-free, neutral pH coating, and is OBA-Free.
We NOW also offer a NEW "METALLIC CANVAS" option, which boasts all the same properties of our regular canvas PLUS a surface finished created from an optimal blend of metallic, silver and pearlescent coatings which work exceptionally will with Black & White photos! (No Varnish Required!) Coupled with Canon's LUCIA EX 12-pigment ink system and your choice of a matte or glossy, UV Protective and weather resistant coating, your canvas prints are guaranteed to last for many generations to come.
Canvas can also lend a wonderful texture and artistic appeal to your photos. Because of it's matte finish, there is no glare or reflection, allowing the true brilliance and detail of your work to shine through.
While canvas printing is most often displayed as a Gallery Wrap (stretched over stretcher bars and hung without a frame), there are a number of reasons you may want to simply print to unstretched canvas.
Compared to the cost of framing a photo, which normally requires matting, mounting and various other components, canvas can simply be printed with a border and framed, relieving much of the framing expense. In addition, when a UV Protective coating is applied, it doesn't need to be displayed behind glass to preserve it's archival quality. This means less costs, less weight and zero reflection making canvas a great alternative to printing on Photo or Fine-Art Papers.
Of course, if you want to save on the costs associated with professional stretching or shipping of large Gallery Wraps, canvas can be safely rolled and shipped for a fraction of the price of a pre-stretched canvas and would allow you to stretch your work on-site, making it an exceptional choice for travelling artists or remote installations.
In addition, we can also Dry-Mount your canvas to mattboard, foamcore or other firm, flat backing substrate. After mounting, your canvas print can then be traditionally Matted & Framed, with or without glass, for a more traditional, museum appeal.
